The Denan Project Taking The First Step In Peru

The Denan Project is extending its medical humanitarian efforts to Peru with the signing of the contract between out partner, Tengo Un Sueno, and the government of Anta Province. The initial plan calls for the construction of a Healthcare Center with emphasis on providing much needed medical attention for women and children. The local villagers have already completed making 9000 adobe bricks to be used to build the Healthcare Center showing their enthusiasm, commitment and support for the project.
On August 20th of this year The Denan Project’s new Healthcare Center will open in the high, remote, Andean village of Uratari. It will be the first time that free, quality medical care will be provided to the indigenous communities of the area.
Our hope for the future is to enlarge the size and scope of the project in keeping with our mission statement. “The Denan Project is a nonprofit grassroots organization whose volunteer members secure the necessary resources to provide free medical care, potable water, agricultural training, education, and other critical services to the people of Denan, Ethiopia and the surrounding villages, and to other impoverished communities in the developing world. Working with regional government and nongovernmental agencies, its ultimate goal is to make specific communities in these areas self-reliant by developing and implementing long-term, sustainable solutions.” |
