Management of The Denan Project’s Burkina Faso Location to Transfer to TEEEM Inc.

— Commitment to the People of the Ouadaradouo Region to Continue and Strengthen Under New Oversight —

The Denan Project, an all-volunteer, community-based charity that helps under-served people around the world, announced today that management of its Burkina Faso project will be taken on by TEEEM Inc., a private foundation affiliated with a longtime supporter of the Denan Project who had been extensively involved in the organization’s work in Burkina Faso.

“Since we began working in Burkina Faso in 2009, we have provided health care to more than 40,000 people,” said Dick Young, President and Founder of The Denan Project. “From the beginning, the individuals who are starting TEEEM Inc. have been an integral part of our work in this region.  We are pleased that TEEEM has chosen Burkina Faso as a major area of focus and development as it begins its own outreach as an independent organization.  With their support, the people in the Ouadaradouo region will continue to increasingly benefit from quality medical care, micro-loans promoting economic development and programs supporting education. At the same time, we at The Denan Project will be able to concentrate our resources on our other ongoing project locations – Denan, Ethiopia; Tariat, Mongolia; Uratari, Peru; and the Navajo Nation in Chinle, Arizona.”

About The Denan Project

The Denan Project is an all-volunteer, community-based nonprofit organization that provides health and development assistance to under-served people living in remote areas, in some of the world’s poorest places. The Denan Project currently works in Denan, Ethiopia; Tariat, Mongolia; Uratari, Peru; and with the Navajo Nation in Chinle, Arizona. Working with regional government and non-governmental agencies, we strive to make these communities self-reliant by developing and implementing long-term, sustainable solutions. Because our Board of Directors covers all administrative, fundraising and other overhead costs, 100% of all outside donations go directly to the medical care and critical community development programs we support.

Project is an all-volunteer 501(C)(3) non-profit foundation incorporated in the State of Connecticut in the United States of America. Gifts are deductible to the full extent allowable under IRS regulations.

The Denan Project is listed on Charity Navigator and GuideStar, and can be followed on Facebook and Twitter @TheDenanProject. For more information, please visit us at www.thedenanproject.org.
